Catskill Music Parent and Student Association

The Catskill Music Parents work very hard to ensure that the students of Catskill and their teachers receive the support need to maintain the high level of music education that we have come to expect.  They have many activities planned for this school year, including the Musicians for Musicians Gala, Citrus Sale, Music Camp and Murder Mystery Dinner.

This is a great music web-site for the purchase of sheet music.  If you are looking for additional music to play or sing they have a huge collection that you can check out and order from.

John Keal Music Company

John Keal is a local music instrument retail, rental and repair store.  Located in Albany, they visit Catskill Elementary School every two weeks.  They are a great place to purchase supplementary materials (lesson books, reeds, valve oil, etc.). 

Link-UP

This is a program through Carnegie Hall that we bring the 4th grade students to each year.  Students learn a curriculum which includes history, recorders and theory.  At the end of this curriculum, the Catskill 4th graders travel to New York City where they get a chance to perform the music that they have learned with an orchestra in the world famous Carnegie Hall.  How do you get to Carnegie Hall??? PRACTICE!!!

The Music Works is a local music instrument retail, rental and repair store.  They are located in Saugerties and visit Catskill Elementary School every week.  They are a great place to purchase supplementary supplies (lesson books, reeds, etc.)

The New York State School Music Association is an amazing resources for different state policies that are affecting music education in New York.

Smart Parents

This is a program for instrumental students.  There is lots of information for parents about helping students get the most out of their instrumental experience.  There is also a place where you can register your Conn Selmer instruments and earn the school points to buy additional instruments for the district.  Our district ID number is CS0562.
