support over the past years with out tab collection events. This year we have
decided to shift our focus to our community and will continue to collect in
our local area. If you wish you collect tabs in your area, please contact your

WE DID IT!!!!!!! ACTUALLY WE OUTDID IT!!!!!
Thanks to the collaboration with all of you, we did it!!! We not only filled
three trucks, we filled
FOUR
with
6.2 million
tabs. It is truly amazing what we can accomplish when we all work together.
The chain reaction will now continue with the Shriners Hospital and the life
changing care that they give to children. We truly appreciate your support
and dedication to our goal. PICTURES TO COME SOON!!!!

Having just returned from meeting with your pick up person and loading the tabs into his truck, I want to tell you that the 403 pounds of tabs (John Jay with 265 lbs and AHS with 138 lbs) that you were provided with came from the passionate and diligent work of many kind and caring students, who once again were able to set aside their “rivalry” and work for a common good. Both John Jay HS and Arlington HS possess a strong desire and commitment to help create a positive influence in the community. We all hope that your Truck Day is a monumental success and that you are able to surpass your previous record from last year. We all understand the importance of trying to make a difference and we are proud of the work you and your students continue to do. All the best to you and Catskill HS.

| Greetings from Afton Central Schools!
Since Rachel's Challenge stopped by our school in September, we have been busy collecting tabs in support of your current goal! Our students heard your school's story and was touched by this awesome act of kindness. Afton's Class of 2016 has been the driving force behind this collection and have placed bins throughout the school. To date, we have collected 13 pounds or 21,320 tabs. We hope to send some pictures soon, but please know that the students here at Afton are working hard to help in this chain reaction.
We are hoping to send some representatives from our school to yours on Truck Day. We will be in touch in the near future on details.

They rode on a bus for an hour and a half to help us make posters of the MANY wonderful partners we have for Truck Day 2010. In addition to being creative and artistic, we were so impressed at their kindness, maturity and wisdom. Thank you for sharing the afternoon with us, and a HUGE thank you for assisting us in making the posters!!! To top it all off.... they brought 50 pounds of TABS!! Awesome!!! |

The students did a Hat Day to raise money to ship their tabs to us. Each student had to pay $1.00 to wear a hat to school. All money raised was put towards the shipping costs of their tabs!!! |
