On November 30th, Questar will meet with all Sophomores during their Social Studies class to explain options for attending a Questar Career & Technical Education Program next year. Students will have an opportunity to visit Questar in February. Click here to visit Questar's website.

All Sophomores will take the ACT PLAN (College Readiness Test) for 10th Graders on December 15 & 16.

The PLAN® program helps 10th graders build a solid foundation for future academic and career success and provides information needed to address school districts' high-priority issues. It is a comprehensive guidance resource that helps students measure their current academic development, explore career/training options, and make plans for the remaining years of high school and post-graduation years.

Freshman year is now behind you and 1/3 of your GPA used for college admissions is also complete.  The next two years are extremely important for college applications.  Rank and GPA for college admissions are calculated using your first three years of high school.  See How Rank and GPA are determined for further explanation.

Another important aspect of your future college applications is your Activities Resume.  For those of you who are involved in activities continue to be involved in both school and non-school activities.  For those of you who have yet to join any clubs, sports or organizations, it is not too late.  Use the next two years to become involved in organizations that you feel match your interests and personality.

For those interested in attend Questar III Career & Technical Programs next year, be sure you are enrolled in all required courses for graduation (See Graduation Requirements) and successfully complete all courses in which you are currently enrolled.

Become familiar with your transcript and check that all grades are reported and reported correctly.
