How do I apply for college credit?
    Students must fill out a "Request for Part-Time Early Admission" application.  It is a BLUE form available in the guidance office.  The form must be signed by the student's guidance counselor, teacher and parent / guardian.

Where do I submit the Early Admission form?
    Forms are submitted to the guidance office and forwarded to Columbia-Greene Community College along with the student's transcript.

Who is eligible to apply for Early Admission?
    Students taking the above listed courses at CHS can apply for college credit through CGCC.  In addition, students must have an 80% average in the subject area for which credit is being sought OR an 80% average in English.

Where is the course offered?
    Part-time early admit courses are offered at CHS and taught by CHS teachers approved by CGCC.

What is the deadline to apply for college credit?
    Columbia-Greene Community College must receive the forms and your transcript no later than TWO WEEKS after the first day of the class.  Forms can be turned in to the guidance office over the summer for fall courses.  Forms MUST be submitted to the guidance office NO LATER than 7 days after the beginning of the course.

What happens after I am approved by CGCC?
    Students will be notified by CGCC of their acceptance and a bill will be sent home with a payment due date.  CGCC  provides the teachers with a list of students who are approved for college credit.

What is the tuition for an Early Admit course?
    The tuition is payable to CGCC.  The cost is about 1/3 of the cost if the course was taken at CGCC.  Contact CGCC registrar for further tuition information.

How do I send colleges I am applying to my transcript with college credit?
    Students must request their transcript for their college credit courses directly from CGCC.

What if I am not approved for college credit?
    Students who are not approved for Early Admit College credit by CGCC can still take the course for CHS credit.
