Achilles mother is Theatis, a sea nymph. His father is Peleus, king of Perusals. When Achilles was young it was prophesied that he would live a long, average life, or a short, glorious one. Achilles chose the glorious one. His parents worried that he may die in the Trojan War, as an infant. His mother had him dipped in the river Styx. Theatis made Achilles invincible by being dipped into river Styx, His heal or tendon never touched the water when he was dipped in the river, because his mother held him by the heal while she did that; making that his one weakness his heal. From there he traveled to Troy with his soldiers and laded siege to Troy for ten years. In the tenth year he and his troops stop fighting, because Achilles wanted a women Agamemnon had captured. But he did fight again when Hector, leader of the Trojans killed his good friend Patroclus. Achilles then goes and kills Hector, drags his body around the walls of Troy; in the battle as a final act of war, the Greeks created the Trojan horse, and they invaded Troy. But Achilles was killed by Pairs or Apollo. Achilles was shot in the tendon by an arrow; there he died at the sun gate.
Achilles is most remembered for his one weakness, his Achilles Heal. A man like him a powerful soldier that was invincible was brought down by a simple arrow in the heal or tendon. It killed him. He still conquered the Trojans and defied the Greek king Agamemnon, but that heal that killed him is what people remember about him, if they remember him at all.
1. What would this person’s “Senior Quote” be in their high school yearbook?
“Live, Love, and Die in Troy” because that is exactly what he did in Troy; yes that is a corny rip off of the Dukes of Hazard.
2. What would this person’s theme song be and why?
Achilles theme song would be “Castle Made of Sand” by Jimi Hendrix, the song speaks of the castle made of sand melting in the sea, which is what Achilles did to Troy by helping the Greeks
