Akbar the Great was born on October 15, 1542 in Umarkot, India. He became one of the greatest rulers of the Muslim dynasty at the age of 14 after his father, Emperor Humayan died in 1556. Although he was one of the greatest rulers of his time, he was illiterate and often surrounded himself by scholars but he had a thirst for knowledge and an eager to learn. Together, Akbar and the scholars came up with the Divine Faith which was a mix of religions such as Islam, Hinduism, and other traditions. Later on, Akbar attempted to unite India under mongol rule.
He first started out by setting up a court in Agra and built a royal city named Fatehpur Sikri in 1569. This city was his capital from 1570 to 1585. As his conquest to capture cities under Mongol rule, he captured Gujarat, Bihar, Bengal, Kabul, Kashmir, Sindh, and Balochistan. His conquest ended in 1600 because of rebellion led by his son. Akbar then died in October 16, 1605.
