Miguel de Cervantes was born in 1547 in Alcalá de Henares. His exact date of birth is not known. It is believed to be on September 29. He was baptized on October 9, 1547. Miguel was the fourth out of seven children. In 1551, his father was seeking livelihood so their family moved from Spain to Valladolid, Córdaba, Seville, and Madrid. During 1568-1569, he studied with Juan López de Hoyos in Madrid. In his last years he lived with his two sisters in. The first part of Don Quixote was published. In 1613 he wrote The Exemplary Tales, in 1614 Journey to Parnassus, in 1615 the second part of Don Quixote, and in 1616 he finished Persites and Sigismunda before his death.
Miguel de Cervantes was most remembered for his book Don Quixote. He was considered to be Spain’s greatest author. This book was published in two parts, one in 1605 and the other in 1615. The full title of the book was El Ingenioso Don Quixote de la Mancha. This book has been reprinted in Spanish and in translations (English and French) more often then any other book in history. It is believed that he probably began to compose Don Quixote while in prison in 1597. His original idea was to portray novels of chivalry because that was what was most popular in the 16th century.
The name of this persons biography would be The Great Spanish Writer Miguel de Cervantes. It would be called this because he was considered to be the greatest writer in Spanish history.
Miguel’s ‘Senior Superlative” would be most likely to be a writer because growing up he always had a thing for writing and wanted to go to school for it.
