Was a great leader in Rome |
Antony was a daring general of Julius Caesar’s army. He rose to become one of Caesars most valued allies. When Caesar was assassinated, Antony jumped into the battle for the throne. He won, and was a consul. He shared his power with Octavian. He added more land when he was in power with Octavian, and he reorganized the eastern provinces of Rome. Antony was blinded by the beautiful Cleopatra, who was dressed as a goddess. This led to his downfall. He fled with her when he divorced his wife Octavia, and gave Octavian the amulet of Antony’s powers as triumvir.
I think that Antony is most remembered for rising to the position of emperor. He ended the civil was in Rome after Caesar was assassinated. He was a blind man, so to speak, because he ran away with Cleopatra to her country and left his country open. His country was torn apart because of her. This was a memorable occasion.
Most likely to conquer a nation, because he was a great general in the Roman army.
2. If a movie was being made about this person’s life who would star in it and why?
Tom Cruise, because he could do all the fighting scenes, and he’s a good actor.
