Started the religion of Islam

Born around the time of 570 AD, Mohammed was orphaned at six and raised by his grandfather, Abd-al-Muttalib. After his grandfather died, he lived with his uncle, Abu-Talib. He belonged to the Quraish tribe, and was very poor, so he did not learn to read or write. As a boy, he worked as a trader and worked for a widow named Khadijah, whom he married later in life. He led a peaceful life after his marriage, but he was troubled by all the fighting and multiple gods his people worshipped. He came to believe in a single God, who was all powerful. One day he went to a cave to think, and the angel Gabriel came to him and spoke to him, telling him to recite the word of God to the Arab people. These words were the beginning of the Koran. After being a prophet and completing the Koran, he died in 632 AD.

Mohammed is most remembered for starting the religion of Islam. He is the most famous prophet in the Koran, but it clearly states that he is a regular man, not a god or a saint. He recited the word of the Koran and it was written down by a scribe.

What Senior Superlative would this person be voted? Most Likely to be Camera Shy. There are no pictures of Mohammed, and it is against Muslim law to make a likeness of him.

If a movie was being made about this person’s life who would star in it and why? If they were to make a movie of his life, I think Kal Penn would play Mohammed because I believe he could play Mohammed and at least faintly resemble him. Plus Kal Penn is a good actor, so he could pull off playing a religious leader. But because the Muslim community doesn’t even like having a drawing of Mohammed, I think that Muslims would get very offended if there was a movie depicting his life, and there probably wouldn’t be one.
