Moses was born in a Egypt to a Hebrew woman. To avoid him being killed, his mother sent him down the river in a basket. Moses was found floating on the river by the pharaoh’s daughter. The daughter entrusted Moses to a women which just so happened to be his mother. After about ten years, the pharaoh’s daughter adopted Moses to come live with her in the palace. After facing prosecution, Moses escaped and wandered around with his followers for 40 year until he reached Mt. Sinai. At Mt. Sinai he left his people at the bass of the mountain to go to the peak to receive the Ten Commandments from God.

Moses is most remembered for two reasons. He is remembered mostly for receiving the Ten Commandments from God. This is important because it is the building block for the three modern monotheistic religions: Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. He is also remembered for parting the Red Sea while leading the Israelites out of prosecution in Egypt.
