Peter the Great was related to the tsar of Russia whom was his father. When he was seventeen he went on a trip around Europe. Where he intakes the impressive scientific and intellectual ideas. Forced back to Russia to end a revolt before he was done traveling. Before Peter the Great was tsar his half brothers did first. After both of their deaths Peter became the Tsar of Russia. During his rule his son Alexis tried to overthrow him so Peter had to kill him. During his rule he also built St.Petersburg as his place of rule.
He is most remembered for making the town of St.Petersburg. This was his place of rule. It also was named after himself. In the town there is a statue of him.
