Project Description:
Students will begin by looking up their birthday on the New York Times’ On This Day website (http://www.nytimes.com/learning/general/onthisday/index.html). They will identify one significant historical event from American History that occurred on their birthday.
Students will then investigate and research the historical event at length.
Students will write a script for a sixty second podcast describing the event and its’ significance in American History.
Students will record their podcasts using Audacity software. These podcasts will be edited and posted to a website for easy access.
Students will create support materials to be used in conjunction with their podcasts in an American History classroom.
