Text Box: Origin:        One major goal of the Catskill Central School District is to provide quality and meaningful education for all children.  This is sometimes easier said than done.  Some of our children have special needs which hinder their ability to learn and be a successful member of the academic community.  There are a myriad of reasons for these difficulties.      A few years back, the District established a study group to gain more knowledge about autism and Related Disabilities.  One goal of this group was to provide more support for all.     

 

Text Box: The Vision:        It is the hope of this group to reach out to all adults:  families, faculty, staff and outside agencies, in order to gain a better understanding of the disabilities that hinder a child’s ability to function successfully.  We hope to create a learning environment that will better meet the needs of all children in our schools.       It is our hope that with commitment, training, support and cooperation we can provide an inclusive environment where all children can reach their potential.
